Maison Martin Margiela’s collaboration with helmet maker Ruby brings forth a special Pavillon helmet that is limited to 600 worldwide. Each comes with a serial number and distinctive drawings on the helmet inspired by graffiti on the Maison’s actual window. Hardware is engraved with Ruby’s emblems.
- Biker accessories label Les Ateliers Ruby have collaborated with Maison Martin Margiela for the third season of their limited edition Signature Program. In the midst of celebrating it's 20th birthday, Maison Martin Margiela became highly enthusiastic about the project to transform the Ruby helmet. Martin Margiela and his colleagues at 163 Rue St-Maur took the programme title literally and each one placed his signature on the helmet to create a collective work. There were only 600 of these very special helmets ever made.
- The carbon shell is varnished then covered with broad lines of paint with a 'meudon white' effect, the pure but imperfect whites that are the 'Maison's' Universal Hallmark. The whole team's involvement can then be discovered with eye's closed: all the members have engraved their name or initials into the layer of white paint.
- Other forms of personalisation have been added: the traditional Ateliers Ruby Cardinal red Interior is replaced by black leather, the logo is drawn in chrome and white and the Ruby Lady becomes incognito.
